Deirdre Ward is an internationally trained violinist with over 30 years performing & teaching experience. Whatever your level - complete beginner, improver or expert - Deirdre believes that getting the best quality violin lessons possible will make a huge difference in learning a string instrument like the violin or viola.

Lessons are adapted to the individual needs of each student. They vary in length from 30 minutes for a child beginner to 60 minutes for an improver or adult. Payment is made at each lesson after which the next lesson is arranged. This allows flexibility for everyone. Violin Teacher Deirdre Ward

Having performed and recorded worldwide with top international musicians, Deirdre now teaches violin at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester. Violinists and violists of all ages, from beginner to advanced, also come to her home in Morecambe, Lancashire for private music lessons and coaching sessions.

Deirdre loves helping her students gain a greater sense of achievement and enjoyment from their violin playing. She first started teaching in her teens and the continual development in her teaching style over the years has often had as much to do with what she learns from her students as her own extensive training! She also draws on over 20 years experience of Alexander Technique lessons with John Woodward in Lancaster, integrating this unique awareness into her own violin teaching.
